Tbs Unify Pro32 Hv Flashing Red Continuous
tbs unify pro orange flashing

Hey guys, I have a problem with my Camera and VTX. Im not getting any image from the camera on my goggles. Im pretty sure it worked for a bit when i first installed it.
I have a TBS UNify pro 5G8 HV which is flashing orange as soon as i connect the battery. The VTX is directly connected to the battery and ive got. I wired the yellow VIdeo cable to the VTX place on my FLight controller (Mamba F722 MINIMK2) and the white data cable to TX3 on the FC and gor rid of the orange 5V out cable.
My camera is the RunCam Phoenix 2: 5-36V and Ground to 5V and GND on the FC and the yellow Video cable to CAM on the FC.
I heard that i could connect the camera directly to the VTX, maybe thats the problem.
If you guys have some tipps, it would be great
Thanks a lot

you opened a new thread about, you provide a lot of info in this one.
i thought red blinking means "underpowered" on a crossfire, as you wrote power from the lipo.. it shouldnt be...
you conected the vtx to tx3, is the vtx tavle configurated?
•
My recommendation. Wire the camera directly to the VTX for diagnostic purpose. And TBS Unify vtx a lot of time is on pit mode or zero power mode. If you have image with direct connection, then you have an OSD chip problem.
If you still can't get an image, double check that you are not in pit mode.

Okay thanks, im going to try that, By "wire the camera directly to the VTX" you mean power the camera from the VTX? (5V Out from the VTX to Camera 5V?)

By the way, the LED is clearly blinking orange, not red. Is this supposed to be the same on this VTX, cant find a lot of infos about orange LEDs
•
the led means red.
i beleive voodoo does mean to wire the video cable of the cam directly ti the vtx.
•
Yes, just the video cable.
•
Okay i did that, still just red constant flashing
sometimes when i plug the battery in, it flashes red once then blue once and then red all the time.
i read that the Ground cable to the battery is broken when this happens, but i measured it and the VTX gets the correct power from the battery, so the cable should be okay. I have no problem with soldering a new cable to it, but then i had to get rid of the white JST box of the cable and solder every cable. Is this even possible with this VTX? I dont want to destroy something before i know for sure
Thanks

You are getting power to the VTX, so do bother with that. I believe you have to VTX in some weird mode. Try to change the mode with the button to see if you get some and image.
If you really want to know what flashing orange means, write to TBS. They are usually very responsive.

i would cut the connection to tx3, just as a try to troubleshoot. if it work after as it should, it might be a bf configuration issue.

Hell yeah, i cut the data connection and i finally got something on my goggles looked pretty terrible though and only in a small radius from the quad but finallly some improvements, thank you ! Now i have to improve this, my video cable is probably way too long and i have to find out what i can adjust in the VTX

that means it should be an issue on the fc but more likely an issue from bf settup on the vtx table.
you wont be able to controll the vtx over the osd, maybe you like to step back and try to set it up again?

you might be in pitmode, probably you need to go to mw settings on page 6;

did you check the vtx once without conected to betaflight configurator, power over the battery?

Okay im pretty sure im not in pitmode (you cant permanently get in pitmode with this VTX), i was able to change the channel and the band, which is a success i guess but the vision was still horrible. I tried connecting the video cables from the VTX and the camera directly or though the FC, both pretty much the same result. Like i said, the cables are still pretty long, could this result in such a terrible vision and range?
Honestly im not sure what you mean with the bf settings (this is my first drone build) I used betaflight once to set up the motors and how to arm the quad, never did anything with the VTX on Betaflight i think. Could you explain this again for a noob?
•
Okay im reading that i should power the VTX from the FC and the camera from the 5v Out from the VTX and the same ground pad i used for the VTX, could this help so much?
Currently im powering the VTX directly from the battery and the camera from the FC.

How you are powering the vtx and camera is fine. I am pretty sure you are in pitmode. Can you post a dump file?
